Welcome! Bem-vindos! Bienvenidos!

I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Marist College. Before coming to Marist, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan’s Weiser Center for Emerging Democracies.

I hold a Ph.D in Comparative Politics from the University of Virginia. My work focuses on the political and social effects of development policy in middle-income countries. I’m interested in Latin American politics, survey methodology, democratic development, and social policy. My dissertation uses original field surveys to understand the ways in which redistributive social policy changes recipients’ political attitudes in Brazil.
